Like so many
Navajo Indian silversmith jewelers, Jennifer Curtis learned her
skills from her father. In this case, it was the famous silversmith
Thomas Curtis.
Jennifer and
Thomas work
in difficult and time consuming very heavy gauge silver, without
assistance from anyone else.
From the Dine
Navajos, Jennifer won the Division A Category (traditional metal
jewelry with stones, shell or organic material - silver, brass,
copper) at the 2005 SWAIA Indian Market Awards.
