Cody Hunter has been a
silversmith for over 20 years. His works portray his childhood
vision of Navajo life.
He uses a very fine jewelers
hand saw, cutting out figures, and then to get a three dimensional
effect, he uses an "overlay" process in which he applies
three or four layers of sheet silver, brazed together. It's a very
labor intensive process. All his metal is either 14 kt gold or
sterling silver.
Please check
back this summer, when we hope to have pictures available of Cory
Hunter's work at the Robert Dean Collection |
